HA GIANG LOOP ITINERARY 4D – 3N
Day 0: HANOI - HA GIANG - FREE NIGHT HOSTEL IN HA GIANG
- Option1: Day bus Hanoi to Ha Giang at 9:00am, 10:00am , 11:00am, 13:00pm or 16:00pm
- Option 2: Night bus Hanoi to Ha Giang at 20:00
DAY 1: HA GIANG – QUAN BA – DU GIA
(Highlights of the day: Heaven’s Gate, Fairy Hill)
· 8:00 a.m – 9:30 a.m: Having breakfast, meeting your tour guide, getting information about the itinerary and get ready to start the loop.
· The road leads you to Bac Sum pass with loads of challenging hairpin curves, up to a coffee shop with a beautiful landscape in Heaven’s Gate, quick hike to a view point where you can see the Fairy Hills, and some beautiful scenery of the Tam Son town with unlimited rice fields and layers of mountain which are 1000 meters above sea level. Having lunch in Tam Son town at twelve. Back on the bike, you will take a quick break in between to take a few more pictures of the Duong Thuong Village where H’mong people has chosen to live for generations.
· Dinner at homestay with “Happy water” as “a welcome drink” together.
DAY 2: DU GIA – MEO VAC – DONG VAN
(Highlights of the day: French military post, Nho Que boat trip, Ma Pi Leng pass)
· 7:30 a.m – 8:30 a.m: Having breakfast, repack, get ready to be back on the bike.
· Stop at a former French military post, take some more pictures of the surrounding area, after fifteen more kilometers, you will stop at a coffee shop where you can see beautiful landscape which includes terrace rice fields, layers of mountain with amazing rocky limestone.
· If you are doing the loop in the beginning of 2024, you might going to know how charaters in Mad Max feel like because before lunch in Meo Vac, you will have to pass one of the most dusty road in your trip which is 35 kilometers long.
· Have lunch in Meo Vac town at twelve. Take a boat trip to admire the stunning scenery of the Nho Que river, and to enjoy the magnificent beauty of the Tu San Alley which is renowned as the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia. All the way from the river, you will start to experience one of the most beautiful passes in Viet Nam. It lies along the national road 4C which is also known as “The road of Happiness”
DAY 3: DONG VAN – LUNG CU – YEN MINH
(Highlights of the day Lung Cu Flag Pole, Northernmost Point, H’mong King’s Palace, Tham Ma Pass)
· 8:00 a.m – 9:00 a.m: Having breakfast, repack, get ready to be back on the bike.
· Twenty kilometers straight to the Lung Cu Flag Pole, go a scenic route around the Northernmost Point to see the border between Viet Nam and China, then drive back to Dong Van District to have lunch. We will then visit the H’mong King’s Palace to learn more about the history and culture of the H’mong hill tribe. Take some more picture of the Tham Ma Pass with many interesting geosites and impressive cliffs, which includes a “try not to fall challenge” for anybody driving their own bike!
DAY 4: YEN MINH – QUAN BA – HA GIANG
(High light of the day: Lung Khuy Cave)
· 8:00 a.m – 9:00 a.m: Having breakfast, repack, get ready to be back on the bike.
We start with a 4km long hike to Lung Khuy Cave, which will help you burn 326 calories and burn off some of last night’s beer.. Around the cave is the peak cluster-depression karst landscape with many cones, dolines, hanging valleys, travertine terraces etc. on a planation surface at 850-1100m above the sea level. While discovering the cave, you will also hear a melody which created by water dripping down from the ceiling of the cave. After burning lots of calories, it is time for you to have lunch and get your energy back in Quan Ba District then head back to Ha Giang after lunch.The loop will end at 5pm and the sleeper bus will return to Hanoi at 7pm.
